Eva Maxine France's Obituary
Eva Maxine (Krist) France, 91, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home with her daughter Jeanne by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elva Lucile Lamle; 4 brothers, Dale, Merle, Harold, and Elmer Lamle; sister, Jean Lamle and stepfather, Eldon Lamle. Eva had a great long and full life. She was married for 61 years to an amazing and loving husband, Charles Otis France, who passed away on May 16, 2007. She enjoyed time spent with her devoted daughter, Judy France Baumle who passed away on May 25, 2012. Eva was a very active lady who enjoyed knitting, working in her yard and spending time volunteering at St. James Lutheran Church, New Haven, with the library and the food bank.
She leaves behind her daughter, Jeanne (Kevin) of Fort Wayne. Jeanne was at her side caring for Eva. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony J. Zwick, Christopher (Shalina) Zwick, Laura (Dustin) Tirpak, Valorie (Neil) Frederick, and Greg (Gretchen) Baumle; great grandchildren, Teighlor, Braylee and Devon Zwick, William Tirpak, Morgan, Camron, and Erin Frederick, Roy and Nora Baumle; special niece, Dawn Lamle.
Eva was a strong, tough loving lady who always put others before herself. She took care of her mother, husband and daughter until they passed. Eva graduated from Central High School, and went to Business College. Her employment included Lincoln Life Insurance, Western Auto, and Material Handling. She retired early to care for her ill husband and ill daughter, Judy. The light of her life was spending whatever time she could with her great grandkids, going to the camp grounds, and going to the Moose Lodge with her husband and many friends. Eva had made peace with God and was ready to see her family. She knew she was loved by all. She will be so missed.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September, 22, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1720 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Dave Williamson officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to St. James Lutheran Church, New Haven.
