Ernest Eugene Harris' Obituary
Ernest Eugene "Pops" Harris, 74, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Katherine Irene Harris. He served his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed gardening, riding his moped, caring for his fish aquarium, and especially loved spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Amanda Harris, Tonya (Nick) Harris, Nathan (Shannon) Shroyer, Lynda (Michael) Cosme, Joseph Harris, Douglas Harris, Jason Harris, Jack Garret; sister, Sandy Smith; 22 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven followed by military honors. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service time.
