Erna Bultemeier's Obituary
Erna Bultemeier, 100, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Lutheran Life Villages, Fort Wayne. Born in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Gustav Fuhrmann and Lydia Reese. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven, where she was member of the Ladies Society and Quilting Circle. Erna worked in the cafeteria at Central Lutheran School, New Haven for 30 years and retired in 1997. She enjoyed summers at the lake cottage, fishing, and playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Janet (Philip) Locatelli and Steven Bultemeier both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Gregory (Jamie) Bultemeier of New Haven, and Allison (Justin) Gudel of Huntertown; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Reese of Conway, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harold Bultemeier; brothers, Hugo, Paul and Elbert Fuhrmann, and Herman Reese; daughter-in-law, Pamela Bultemeier. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, New Haven with visitation 9 am to 10:30 am prior to service. Masks and social distancing protocol required. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the church or Worship Anew (Formerly Worship for Shut-ins). Arrangements by Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven.
