Erma Fay Bryan's Obituary
Erma Fay Bryan, 87, of Fort Wayne, formerly of New Haven, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at home. Born in Grandview, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Evelyn (Thurman) Hall. She is a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne. Erma retired in 1996 from Magnavox after 32 years. She enjoyed sewing, cake decorating, ceramics, square dancing, traveling, quilting, and embroidery.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, William; daughters, Joyce Neaville and Connie Smith; stepchildren, Evan and Eldan Bryan, and Maelle (James) Heath; grandchildren, Molly (Kyle) Scherer, Justin Beard, Timothy (Faith) Heath, Christopher Heath, and Smanatha Wilson; great grandchildren, Layne, Justice, and Liberty Beard, Grant and Alex Scherer, and Xavier Heath; and many others who she considered family. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Smith in 1991; son, H. Michael Smith; and siblings, Roy and Cecil Garman, Elmer and Tommy Hall, Alberta Rice, Nila Hall, and Ruth Terry.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Lifeway Wesleyan Church.
