Emma J. Ginter's Obituary
Emma J. Ginter, 78, died May 27, 2014 at The Gardens of Paulding, Paulding, Ohio. Born in Otis, LA, she was the daughter of the late Clint and Mahalie Walker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, New Haven. She was a clerk at Kings Department Store, Hutners, Blackwell's Meat Market, and Meijer's.
Emma is survived by her children, Yvonne (Jim) Thompson Jr. of Yuma, AZ, Gary (Nola) Ginter of Haviland, OH, Teresa (Earl) Begley III of Stanton, KY, Roger (Terri) Ginter of Graniteville, SC, and Tamara (Bruce) Tatman of El Cajon, CA; siblings, Elizabeth (Tommy) Johnson of Natchitoches, LA and Archie (Mary) Walker of Bossier City, LA; brother-in-law, Roland Stokes of Moringsport, LA; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Nolan Ginter in 1994; sister, Bonnie Stokes; and granddaughter, Bobbie Jean Thompson.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Pastor David Trimble officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to First Baptist Church, New Haven.
