Elvera Louise Bienz's Obituary
Elvera Louise Bienz, 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Adams Woodcrest, Decatur. Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Adella (Hockemeyer) Rebber. She was a lifelong member of Martini Lutheran Church, New Haven. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and volunteered at Harborside Nursing Home. She was a bus driver for the special needs children at East Allen County Schools and was also a cook for Central Lutheran School, New Haven. She is survived by her children, Diane George of Venice, FL, Nancy (John) Keranen of Ely, MN, Dale (Monica) Bienz of New Haven, and Janine (Edward) Albert of Decatur; sister, Evelyn (Don) Grote of Decatur; ten grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth E. Bienz in 1996. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Rd, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E. New Haven. Burial in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur.
