Gene Elmer Hauke's Obituary
Gene Elmer Hauke, 83, of New Haven, was called home by his Lord on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born in Fort Wayne to the late Elmer and Lucella Hauke. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He retired in 1989 from Magnavox Corp. after 36 years.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene; children, Pam (Walter) Werling; Errick (Paula) Hauke, and Randall (Ann) Hauke; sister, Patricia (Mel) Speaks; grandchildren, Marc and Jason Werling, Drew, Brian, and Brad Hauke, Nicole Huston, and Katie Lord; and 18 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Hauke; and grandson, Rodney Werling.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Pastor David Stecker officiating. Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
