Elizabeth M. Wickham's Obituary
Elizabeth M. (Bette) Wickham, 84, of New Haven died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Ercil Davenport and Helen Davenport-Brooks. She was a member of Navy Club Ship #245, lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #2457 Auxiliary, member of American Legion Post #420 Auxiliary, and past chairman of V.F.W. National Home.
Bette retired in 1979 after 27 years with General Telephone Company. She was also the former owner of the Able Cabinet Company.
She is survived by her son, Russell A. Wickham; granddaughters, Jessica Ackles and Andrea Wickham; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell L. Wickham in 1993.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2011 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. prior. The Rev. David O. Stecker officiating. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to V.F.W. National Home.
