Eleanor V. Schnelker's Obituary
Eleanor V. Schnelker, 93, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at St. Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late William and Frieda (Weileman) Federspiel. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and the rosary sodality. She was a teller and secretary for over 30 years and worked at Peoples State Bank and Lincoln National Bank. She also enjoyed playing restaurant bingo.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Christina) Schnelker of New Haven and William (Susan) Schnelker of Bellevue, NE; grandsons, Bobby, Nicholas, and John Schnelker; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Eugene Schnelker in 2001; five sisters; and two brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with visitation half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Visitation is also 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., new Haven with vigil at 5 p.m. Burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Masses.
