Elaine Ruth Ostheimer's Obituary
Elaine Ruth Ostheimer, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in LaGrange, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Stone) Ervin. She was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne. She was a paraprofessional for East Allen County Schools for over 20 years. She was a past president of the New Haven Football Boosters, and enjoyed gardening, reading the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Steve; children, Nicholas Allen (Mary) Ostheimer and Stephanie (Blake) Winget; brother, James (Linda) Ervin; sister-in-law, Susie Ervin; and grandchildren, Brittany and Lucy Winget, Maya, Maxwell, and Madeline Ostheimer. Preceded in death by her brother, Richard Ervin.
Memorial service is 11 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Inurnment in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
