Edwin "Ed" Martin's Obituary
Edwin “Ed” H. Martin, 70, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne. He was the son of the late Norbert and Annabelle (Love) Martin. He worked as an inspector at Navistar for 30 years till he retired in 2003. Ed proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was the Quartermaster at the V.F.W. Post #2457, New Haven where he enjoyed being a part of all the activities there. Ed also enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ella (McBride) Martin; Children, Eddie (Denny Baker) Martin and Kelly (Hope Enterline) Martin both of Fort Wayne; Brother, Terry (Deloris) Martin of Waco TX; and granddaughter, Breanna Martin-O’dell of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jackie Girardot and Norbert “Bussy” Martin.
Graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2016 at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Besancon, with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m. at the V.F.W., 12700 Dawkins Rd., New Haven with Military Honors. Chaplain Paul Meyer officiating. The family suggests memorials to the V.F.W. Post #2457.
