Edith "Edie" Rosemary Miller's Obituary
Edith “Edie” Rose Mary Miller, 89, of Fort Wayne, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at home. Born in Fort Wayne and raised in Leo, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ophia (Garman) Sevits. She was a 1949 graduate of Leo High School and member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. A lifelong homemaker, she also spent time working for Fred Zollner and the Fort Wayne Pistons. Edie will always be remembered for being “the girl with the amazing smile”. She loved going with the neighbor ladies on Thursdays to the beauty shop. Edie will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of those who loved her. She is survived by her children, Gary (Linda) Miller, Sharon Crabill, and Terry (Cindy) Miller all of Fort Wayne, and Karen (Perry) Ehresman of Wolcottville; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Richard “Dick” in November 2013; grandson, Jerimey Miller; brother, Fuhrman Smith; and son-in-law, David Crabill. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Steve Ahlersmeyer officiating. Masks required. If you do not have one, one will be provided. Burial in the church cemetery. Service will be live streamed on St. Peter’s YouTube channel. Preferred memorials are to the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
