Edith G. Linker's Obituary
Edith G. Linker, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Noble County, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Roe) Sroufe. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Gar Creek, New Haven. She was the office manager for the US Department of Agriculture and retired in 1974 after 20 years. She was also a volunteer at the Botanical Conservatory, Fort Wayne. She loved traveling, gardening, crocheting, and performing as a clown.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Diane (Lynn) Burry of Geneva; daughter-in-law, LuAnn Linker; grandchildren, Shane and Shanda Linker both of Fort Wayne, Jeanette (Myo) Win of New Haven, and Joel (LeeAnne) Greve of Indianapolis; and great grandchildren, Jack and Sidney Win. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Linker in 1966; son, Richard Linker in 2015, and brother, Edward Sroufe.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church Gar Creek, 1910 N Berthaud Rd, New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Ron Francis and Michael Blodgett officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School, St. Paul Lutheran Church Gar Creek, or Turnstone.
