Edda U. Reagin's Obituary
Edda U. Reagin, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Litzmannstadt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anastasia (Zimmer) Dahlmann. She was a past member of St. James Lutheran Church and current member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. She retired from Lutheran Hospital in 2004 and went on to retire from Walmart in 2013. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and traveling. She also loved spending her time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Stacey (Donovan) Reagin-Gunsch and Lesa (Dave) Hirschy both of New Haven, Patrick (Jenny) Reagin of Fort Wayne; siblings, William Dahlmann of Florida, Albert (Janina) Dahlmann of Connecticut and Ruth Hansen of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Samantha (Cody) Coyer, Heather (Trent) Walchle, Serena (Ben) Gresham, Ethan Hirschy, Jackson Gunsch, Christian Gunsch, Gretchen Reagin and G. Max Reagin; great grandchildren, Brittnie, Kailee, Seth, Addie, Greyson, Magnolia and Freya. She was also preceded in death by great granddaughter, Finley Grace. Celebration of Life Gathering is 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in the Family Service Room at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St, New Haven with a Service of Remembrance at 7 p.m. Preferred memorials are to Visiting Nurse Hospice.
