Duane L. Krall's Obituary
Duane L. Krall, of Greenwood, formerly of New Haven, died on November 20, 2023 at the age of 88.
Duane was born in Decatur IN to Guy and Lavina Krall. He graduated from Willshire Ohio High School.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Norma, whom he met at Lutheran Singles and Western Square Dancing - they enjoyed traveling and spending winter months in Florida.
He is also survived by stepchildren, Michael Carpenter and Vincent (Sharon) Cullers; three grandchildren, Adam, Hope and Kelly and four great grandchildren; brother, Farrell (Sharon) Krall of Willshire OH and sisters, Eileen Kraner and Mary Ann (Dean) Bollenbacher, both of Celina, OH.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Bernard and Donald; sisters, Lois Krall and Evelyn Frank and stepson, Timothy Carpenter.
Duane retired from Navistar in 1986. After that he worked for Hall's Restaurants and received several awards for his flower beds in the Ft Wayne 200th Bicentennial Celebration - after retiring again he spent many hours planting flowers at Emanuel Lutheran Church and maintaining their cemetery - he was also given the Hunger Award for his volunteering at the New Haven Food Bank
Graveside service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Edgerton Rd. West of Doyle Rd., New Haven. Memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church, Greenwood or Worship Anew.
