Douglas C Chambers' Obituary
Douglas C. Chambers, 55, New Haven, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Diana (Shive) Chambers and the late Edward Chambers. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and past member of the local Elk’s Lodge #141. Doug was an I.T. manager at Tippmann & Associates, Fort Wayne for 30 years. He was also an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie (Bobay) Chambers; sons, Ed (Bridget) Chambers, and Don (Kristina) Chambers both of Fort Wayne; Daughters, Kristina Chambers (Miller) and Lisa Chambers both of New Haven; mother, Diana (Shive) Chambers of Fort Wayne; Siblings, Lori (David) Dziennik of Fishers, Theresa (Chip) Tippmann, Kathy (Cable) Antibus, Mike Chambers, and Brandy Chambers all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Douglas, Robert, Gwendolyn, Kerri, and Meredith Chambers, all of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his father, Edward Chambers.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with vigil service at 3:45 p.m. and a rosary service at 7 p.m. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Daughter Lisa’s Education Fund, and masses.
