Dorothy Irene Pemberton's Obituary
Dorothy Irene Pemberton, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Stillwater Hospice, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Virl and Katherine (Baxter) Gilbert. She was a lifelong methodist and retired in 1990 from the Allen County Library after 33 years. She was also an avid seamstress and enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Kreegar of Weldona, CO, Gloria (Jerry) Nixon of Toledo, OH, and Diana Scheele of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kelley, Missey, Jason, Nathan, Allisa, Jacob, Misty, and Kohle; 18 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert in 2000; and son-in-law, Michael Kreegar.
