Dorothy L. Nichter's Obituary
Dorothy L. Nichter, 89, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Lucille (Krick) Rosswurm. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and the Rosary Sodality. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jerome; children, Kathleen Mowery, Victoria (Doug) Brooks, Mary Ellen (Dan) Eakright, Daniel (Dawn) Nichter, Michael (Judy) Nichter, Denise (Jim) Hill, Larry (Kim) Nichter, Thomas (Meg) Nichter, Charles (Becky) Nichter, and Steven (Theresa) Nichter; siblings, Rosemary Rosswurm, Sr. Barbara Jean Rosswurm CSA, Linda Love, Edwin Rosswurm, and Richard Rosswurm; 31 grandchildren; and 57 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Stanley Rosswurm, Lois Emenhiser, and Nancy Hauser. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St. New Haven with calling one-hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery.
