Dorothy Phyllis Benzinger's Obituary
Dorothy Phyllis (Brenneke) Benzinger, 95, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late William and Rose (Gunzenhauser) Junk. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Woodburn. She was always ready for a card game and never held back on bid euchre.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Candy) Brenneke of Woodburn and Janice (Steve) Singer of Hudson; sister, Jean Willmann of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by husband, Lorenz Brenneke in 1974 and Walter Benzinger in 2001; brother, William Junk; and grandson, Todd Brenneke
By Dorothy's request, services will be private. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church.
