Doris Ann Wiedemann's Obituary
Doris Ann Wiedemann, 89, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Terrace, Fort Wayne. Born April 21, 1936, and baptized the same day at home in New Haven to the late Alvin and Esther (Bohnke) Hermann. She attended St. Peter’s Lutheran school which was a one room schoolhouse for five grades. After the new school was built, she had the same teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. She was confirmed April 2, 1950. She graduated from New Haven High School in 1954. She married Fred Wiedemann May 11, 1957, who survives. As a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Doris belonged to the Ladies Aid, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and was secretary to the Tabea Guild. She also liked hosting the Red Hat Society get-togethers at the family place on Snow Lake. She retired from East Allen County schools in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and fishing but she especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family. She is also survived by her sons, Tony (Pam) Wiedemann, Terry (Julie) Wiedemann, and Todd (Patsy) Wiedemann; brother, Fritz (Inge) Hermann; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth and Dale Hermann. Funeral service is 11 am Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 7 pm Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the church. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to the St. Peter’s Lutheran School, Fort Wayne or Heartland Hospice.
