Doris F. Landis' Obituary
Doris Frances Landis, 80, of New Haven, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at home. Born in Owatonna, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Dean and Neva (Mason) Winship. She was a member of First Baptist Church, New Haven. She retired in 2020 from Wayne Home Equipment after 30.5 years. She was also a member of American Legion Post 47 Auxiliary, Fort Wayne, Fraternal Order of Eagles 3164 Auxiliary, New Haven, and Navy Club Ship 245 Auxiliary, New Haven. One of her favorite past times was vacationing with friends and family. She loved spending time with her family and talking about them when they were not around wink. You got bonus points if you brought her a speedway coffee, a treat she loved. She had a servant's heart and loved people.
She is survived by her children, Tim Landis, Jerry (Kim) Landis, and Kim (Jason) Savieo; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Merrill in 2016; siblings, Phyllis, Sue, Connie, Richard, Jerry, and her twin, Don; grandson, Matthew Carpenter; and daughter-in-law, Kristine Landis.
Funeral service is 12 pm Monday, January 27, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 4 Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the funeral home.
