Doris M. Doehrman's Obituary
Doris M. Doehrman, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Golden Years Homestead, Fort Wayne. Born September 10, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ida (Messmann) and Henry Koch. A native of Woodburn, she was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, Woodburn, and a member of Christ Lutheran Women. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired in 1978 from North American Van Lines.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Janice) Doehrman and Janice (Thomas) Gerig both of New Haven; sister, Marie Ballas of Newton Falls, Ohio; grandchildren, Tammy Davich, Troy Gerig, Robert Doehrman, and Sherry Puglise; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Doehrman in 2003; son, Robert Doehrman; granddaughter, Angela Gerig; and brothers, Wilbur, Loren, and Norman Koch.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn. Pastor Timothy Edwards officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Christ Lutheran Church Endowment Fund or Donor's Choice.
