Dori Lynn Westrick's Obituary
Dori Lynn Westrick, 64, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Her final hours were spent surrounded by her family and were full of love and worship. Born in Des Moines, IA, she was the daughter of the late John C. Wauchek and Libby Lawson who survives. She was an active member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne. She was involved with numerous activities at the church, especially with the children's ministries. Dori dedicated many years to the New Haven community, especially to the New Haven High School cheerleading program. Her favorite moments were spent with her family and grandchildren. You could always find Dori offering an encouraging word, a heartfelt prayer, or sharing a song or scripture. Dori radiated joy and her greatest gift was her ability to meet you where you were and make you feel loved. To know Dori was to love her.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Westrick; children, Cori (Tim) McKenzie, Alyssa (Rob) Barney, Nicole (Drew) Laughlin, and Adam Westrick; siblings, Debra (Terry) Argerbright, Diana (Dan) Fitch, and Darlene (Jim) Boukal, John David Wauchek, Brad (Joanie) Bradley, Karl (Yohanna) Knowles; step-mother, Sherry Wauchek; grandchildren, Claire, June, Evalie, Bennett, Lennon, and Maisie; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Norah McKenzie; nephew, Joshua Salyer; brother, Michael Knowles; and stepfather, Bobby Lawson.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Rd., Fort Wayne, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation is also 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
