Donald L. Linker's Obituary
Donald L. Linker, 33,726 days, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2013 at Adam's Heritage, Monroeville. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the last living child of the late Fred and Emma Linker. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Flatrock Church, Monroeville and served his country in the US Army Air Corp. He drove a Co-Op milk route for 14 years, retired in 1991 from Zollner Piston Corp after 24 years, and carried out groceries for Maloley's, Lynn's, Scott's, and Rogers markets for 16 years.
Don is survived by his children, Marilyn (Larry) Lyman of Valparaiso, Cindy (Larry) Adams of Fort Wayne, Bruce (Mary) Linker of South Haven, MI, and Curt (Linda) Linker of Boston Corners; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Anna Linker in May 2013; sisters, Pauline, Stella, Erma, Evelyn, and Vera; and brothers, Edgar, Earl, Vern, Leonard, and Robert.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior to service. Rev. Douglas M. Christian officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to St. John Lutheran Flatrock Church, Worship for Shut-ins, or Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne.
