Donald "Don" L. Forks' Obituary
Donald "Don" L. Forks, 77, of Fort Wayne died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Elmer and Ardice (nee Scott) Forks. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Rea Magnet Wire Co. after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Wilma; children, Shirley (Kent) Howard of Fort Wayne and Ron (Lorraine) Forks of Warsaw; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and siblings, Conrad Forks of Warsaw, Robert Forks of Columbus, OH, and Ruthann Godfrey of Groveland, FL. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, E. Louise (Miner) Forks.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor Scott Zeckzer officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Lutheran Outdoor Ministries.
