Donald D. Lagassie's Obituary
Donald D. Lagassie, 94, of New Haven, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024, at home. Born in Caribou, Maine, he was the son of the late Patrick and Jeanette (Gauvin) Lagassie. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. He served his country in the US Army during Korea. He retired in 1989 from Dana Corp after 30 years. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, and watching game shows. He is survived by his children, Karen Smith, David Lagassie, Anne Badrov, Janet Omo, Denise (Bill) Ecklor, Carol (Eugene) Miller, and Aimee Osborne; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Barbara in 2020; two sisters; and two brothers. Funeral service is 2 pm Monday, October 7, 2024, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., with visitations two hours prior (12 to 2 pm). Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
