Donald Edwin Johns' Obituary
Donald Edwin Johns, 86, of Woodburn, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at home with his family by his side. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late Denzil and Rachel Johns. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. He retired in 1993 from the Allen County Co-op after 15 years and was a lifetime farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruthann Johns; children, Glenn Johns and Diane Johns both of Woodburn; and sister, Joanne Dorothy (William) Fouts Long of Auburn. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Alice Peckham.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Pastor David H. Petersen officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the church.
