Donald Eugene Gallmeyer's Obituary
Donald Eugene Gallmeyer, 89, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Adams Heritage. Born in Decatur, he was the son of the late Conrad and Martha (Buuck) Gallmeyer. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven where he was also an elder. He retired from Tokheim in 1996 after 43 years. He was also a past Central Lutheran School Board Member. Don enjoyed gardening and their winter trips to Florida. He especially loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann; children, Jeanenne Gallmeyer of Fort Wayne, Scott Gallmeyer of New Haven, and Marla Maier of Carmel; siblings, Delores (Dave) Nahrwold of New Haven and Jerry Gallmeyer of Decatur; brother-in-law, Larry Hockemeyer; four grandchildren; and 2 step grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Erna Koenemann, Delbert Gallmeyer, Robert Gallmeyer, and Julaine Hockemeyer; sister-in-law, Bonnie Gallmeyer. Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday. October 24, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green St, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
