Donald Davis' Obituary
Donald Davis, 71, was called home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on December 12, 1949 in Kenver, Kentucky he was the son of the late Lenis and Irene (Frazer) Davis. He retired from Rea Magnet Wire in 2010 after 37 years with the company. Don married his wife Kathy, who survives, on January 19, 2001. Don attended Central Ministries, Fort Wayne and had a passion for mission trips. He traveled on many trips to help people rebuild after natural disasters in their time of need. Don and Kathy also traveled on three mission trips to Honduras with Sonrisas Siempre, a dental clinic in Honduras to assist the less fortunate with dental care and help with the orphanage. Don enjoyed going on cruises, IU Basketball, giving his time to mow at the church, Tuesday Coffee at the Perk, and especially loved any activity his grandchildren were involved in. He also loved spending time at their cottage on Lake Gage. He is also survived by his family, Holly (Todd) Coulter and Jeff (Kelly) Turner; grandchildren, Zach and Josh Rutland, and Lily and Talan Turner; sister, Phyllis (Jim) Raleigh; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Ministries, 5801 Schwartz Rd, Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Samaritans Purse or to the church.
