Dominic J. Buanno, Sr.'s Obituary
Dominic J. Buanno Sr., 79, of New Haven passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at
Parkview Hospital with his loving children by his side. The Fort Wayne native, was the
son of the late Angelo and Alda Buanno, Sr. He was an U.S. Army veteran , who served
his country during the Korean War. Dominic was a former co-owner of the family
business, Buanno Package Liquor Store; and retired from International Harvester.
He is survived by his children: Dominic (Wendy) Buanno, Jr., Mathew Buanno, Terra
(Joe) Patterson, Wendy (John) Eigenbrot and Cathy (Allen) Thompson; sister, Rosalie
Gardner; brother, Angelo Buanno, Jr.; grandchildren: Allen, Jr., Megan, Adam, and
Nick; great-grandson, Gage. He was proceeded in death by his wife; Barbara, who died
2005; grandson, Zachary Thompson; brother, Patrick Buanno.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State
Road 930 E., New Haven, with calling 1 hour before service. Fr. Steve Colchin
officiating. Calling is also 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home.
Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven with military honors. Preferred memorials
are to Parkview Home, Health and Hospice
