Dixie Elaine King Emerson's Obituary
Dixie Elaine (King) Emerson, 61, passed away peacefully September 25, 2014. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Edith King. She worked as a waitress over the years at Eagles and 4 Mile. She was a member of American Legion, Moose, and Navy Club.
She is survived by her husband, Dean; children, Paul (Heather) Hicks, Betty (Todd) Hagadorn; step-children, Troy (Helena) Emerson, Melissa Emerson; grandsons, Chris, Wyatt, Lilli, Kolt, Skyler, Ethan, Adam, Frank (Katie); great grandchildren, Isabella, Isaac; siblings, Merrill (Doris) Landis, Ron King, Don (Ann) King, Barb Mason, Mike (Coleen) King, Leo (Becky) King, Sue McAtee. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; one sister.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven with calling one hour prior. Jody Sexton officiating. Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health and Hospice or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
