DeWayne Dewey Bledsoe's Obituary
DeWayne “Dewey” Bledsoe, 57, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with his family by his side at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Hillard “Wayne” and Linda Lou (Kumfer) Bledsoe. He was a member of the Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne. He was a machinist at Continental Diamond Tool, New Haven for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, grilling, fishing, gardening, rooting for the Komets, and helping his son with his race car. He loved listening to classic rock and country and spent his free time helping anyone he could. Dewey especially loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Trina (Osmun) Bledsoe; children, Brandon (Leesa) Bledsoe, Megan Bledsoe, and Desirae Bledsoe; sisters, Tammy Lambert, and Shannon (Rodney) Cox; Stepchildren, Matthew Drew, Treavor Drew, Nicholas (Henley) Drew, Laura (Trent) Bill, and Rachael Drew; grandchildren, Brayden, Joanna, Emma, Jayda, Beau, Blakely, Sutton, Griffin, Phoenix, Indiana, Daisy Ray, Leland, Liam, and one on the way.
Funeral service is 11 am Friday, August 7, 2026, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E, New Haven with visitation one hour prior (10-11am). Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Thursday August 6, 2026, at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of NE Indiana https://www.cancer-services.org.
