Dear Nancy, Devin, and Tyson:
Like so many, I was shocked and so very saddened by the news of Denny’s passing. Denny and I go back to being baptized together by his Grandfather at the old Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. We grew up in same neighborhood, schooled together, delivered morning papers, played bloody murder in their basement, shared in some harmless mischief, etc. Denny’s intellect, compassion, service, humor, and friendship have touched countless. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. John and Annette
Nancy and family...my deepest sympathy to and yours. Denny is the kind of guy that will be remembered for generations. It is special to have known both of you. God bless.

What Denny did for the Lutheran Church at his own congregation, in the Missouri Synod and Concordia Theological Seminary will be a lasting tribute and memorial of his faith in Christ which was the mark of the man. Here at the seminary his work, friendship and wise counsel are and will remain part of this institution. We are pleased that he chose to share his abilities and talents with us. We will miss him, but he has gained his great reward.

I was so saddened to learn of Denny's passing. I was introduced to him by Vic Martin (who passed away Sunday). We played basketball together as members of the "Southwood Park Basketball Association" in Vic's driveway several decades ago. I always enjoyed playing and talking with Denny. Lake George will miss him.
