David Wirt's Obituary
David Wirt, 68, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Parkview Hospital - Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Evanston, IL he was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne. He retired in 2013 from Air Management, Inc. David loved estate sales and was an amateur picker. He also loved working in the yard, fixing things, his dogs, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; twin sons, Daniel (Char Fletcher) Wirt and David (Karmen Casey) both of New Haven; daughter, Sarah (Matt) Curtis of Fort Wayne; mother, Jane Dillman of Fort Wayne; siblings, William (Melissa) Dillman of Toledo, Jamie Dillman and Pamela (Pete) Venderley both of Fort Wayne, and Diana (Bob) Hartman of Roanoke; grandchildren, Gavin and Gracie Wirt and Sam and Elizabeth Curtis. He was also preceded in death by his father, Joseph Wirt; and in-laws, Jack and Phyllis Glenn.
Celebration of Life is 2 p.m. Saturday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the Allen County SPCA or Visiting Nurse.
