David L. Wade's Obituary
David L. Wade, 80, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at home with his family by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late M. Ross and Lillian (Stoll) Wade. He was a 1958 graduate of North Side High School and received his accounting degree from International Business College with honors. He went on to take additional classes at Indiana University, a school he had a great love for. He was the President of David L. Wade and Associates, PC for 48 years. David celebrated a 50-year membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the State of Indiana Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, where he served as treasurer and chairman for the Board of Elders. David devoted his life to serve his Lord and Savior. He served on the executive committee for Concordia Lutheran High School and served on the Board of Directors for ten years. He was also an honorary member of the Concordia Educational Foundation, and the treasurer at Epiphany Lutheran Church, a church which he helped establish. David served Lutheran Ministries Media, Inc, Worship Anew, which was very special to him. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma; children, Cindy (Tony) Perugini, Cheryl Wade, Christine (Dan) Martin, Carol (Jeff) Dellinger, and David W. (Heather) Wade all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Donna Getz of Fort Wayne and Carol (Rev. Roy) Rinehard of Shawano, WI; sister-in-law, Emmalee Wade of Fort Wayne, aunt, Ruth Stoll; grandchildren, Tony and Dominic Perugini, Dawn (Sean) McCarthy, Danielle (Jerome) Martin-Williams, Danica and Daniel Martin, Madi and Kayla Dellinger, Haley and Cameron Wade; great grandson, Jack Williams; birth grandson, Rev. Matthew (Jenna) Wietfeldt and his children, Halle, Olivia, Clara, Audrey, and Eliza; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Norman R. Wade; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Gary Welker; brother-in-law, Dale Getz. Funeral service will be privately held for the family and will be streamed live and recorded for friends and loved ones at 1:30 p.m. Monday on the HolyCross FW YouTube page.
