David J. Vaughan Sr.'s Obituary
David J. Vaughan, Sr., 76, of New Haven, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Statewood Lutheran ER, Fort Wayne. Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Paul and Muriel (Farrell) Vaughan. He retired in 2003 from General Motors, LaGrange with over 20 years.
He is survived by his children, David J. Vaughan, Jr., Carolyn (Charles) Browning, and Cristen Vaughan all of New Haven; sisters, Susie Hickey of Arlington Heights, IL and Laura Demik of Hudson, FL; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Carol in 2006; son, Richard Vaughan in 2007; brother, Paul; and sisters, Carol, Faith, and Margie.
Funeral service is 4 p.m. Saturday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling from Noon to 4 p.m. prior to service. Preferred memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
