David Engle's Obituary
David Lynn Engle, 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Rev. Frank L and Ruth (Tillis) Engle. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Army National Guard and went on to retire from BF Goodrich after 33 years. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, camping, being with friends and spending time with his family. Many will miss his wonderful posts on Facebook. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet; daughters, Sheryl Cleveland, and Lynn Engle both of Bakersfield, CA; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many cherished kiddos that he considered family. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Engle. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to the church or Humane Fort Wayne.
