David Ashman's Obituary
David Lowell Ashman, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at home. Born in Fort Recovery, Ohio he was the son of the late David and Mary (Smith) Ashman. He was member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. He served his country in the US Army and earned his B.S. from Ball State University. David retired in 2003 from Ashman, Taggart, and Manion after 40 years. He was a member of the New Haven Lions Club, Sycamore County Club, the CPA Society, Masonic Jay Lodge #87, Portland and was a board member at the Orchard Ridge Country Club. A sports enthusiast, he was an avid golfer, loved to fish, enjoyed his grandchildren’s events and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kay Sue; daughters, Karla (Mike) Havener of Martinsville and Karen (Duane) Geiger of Indianapolis; siblings, Carl (Linda) Ashman of Portland and Wanda Violette of Alexandria, VA; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Lois Osborne and Dale Ashman. Memorial service is 11:30 a.m. Saturday at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling from 10 a.m. until service time. Pastor Chuck Fenwick officiating.
