Darlean Maxine Hollandsworth's Obituary
Darlean Maxine Hollandsworth, 100, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at home. Born in Missouri, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Hutton) Diestelkamp. She worked at GE, Fort Wayne and retired after 23 years. She was a member of the Honoretts of the GE Elex Club. Darlean was a charter and founding member of Statewood Baptist Church, Fort Wayne. She taught Sunday school until 2020. She also was a founding member of the Northeastern Indiana Baptist Association where she was the clerk for many years. Darlean enjoyed sewing, quilting, visiting shut-ins, and playing dominos. She especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Ron (Barbara) Hollandsworth I, and Connie (Ralph) Petty; grandchildren, Ronald (Sherean) Hollandsworth II, John Petty, Michael (Michelle) Hollandsworth, James (Stefanie) Petty, and Jeffrey (Misty) Hollandsworth, and 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Hollandsworth in 1991, brothers, Malcom and Charles Diestelkamp. Funeral service is Noon Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Statewood Baptist Church, 2208 N. Coliseum Blvd, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930, New Haven. Burial in the IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
