Dale Allen Zent's Obituary
Dale Allen Zent, 66, passed away on Wednesday January 24, 2018 at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Eldon and Betty (Ulrey) Zent. He retired in 2009 from Big Rigs, Fort Wayne as a diesel mechanic with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed circle track racing and building street rods. He is survived by his children, Dale (Ann) Zent and Tina Zent, siblings, Larry (Teresa) Zent, Allen Zent, Chris Zent, Athea (Park) Hedges, Robin (Harold) Tonak, Sandy (Jesse) Salazar, and Susie (Lonnie) Lawson; grandchildren, Travis Myers, Hunter Schnelker, Winchester Zent, and Haley Schnelker; step granddaughters, Jessica (Julio) Peralta, Clarissa (Chris White) Hall, Leann Hall, and Tiffany (Jed Morton/Davis) Rostorfer; and step great grandchildren, Diego, Michael, Brently, A’Mya, and Athena. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Kathy in 2008. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Jim Platner officiating. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials are to Donor’s Choice.
