Dale J. Oberley's Obituary
Dale J. Oberley, 70, of Monroeville, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2025, at Adams Heritage, Monroeville where he had been a resident for many years. He had just celebrated his 70th birthday in May with all his favorite people there by his side. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Richard and Patricia (Reuille) Oberley, whom Dale loved and missed dearly and daily. He was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven. He retired as an accountant from Frank Young Accounting. Dale loved the Cubs, Dean Martin, a New York strip medium rare, vintage American cars, and a nice martini ... "when things were cool." Despite the challenges he faced after a stroke, Dale lived his life to the fullest, doing his best to maintain connections with family and friends. He will be missed by many as will his yearly Christmas cards always hand signed Dale J.
He is survived by his siblings, the other six D's, Diane (Steve) Edwards, Dean, David (Rosie) Oberley, Darlene (John) Corbett, Donna (Frank) Bruggner, and Dina Oberley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
