Constance "Connie" Jean Nahrwold's Obituary
Constance "Connie" Jean (Bockey) Nahrwold, 68, of New Haven, was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was born in Delphos, Ohio to the late Walter and Anna Jean (Kroeger) Bockey and was a 1973 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School. She had worked for East Allen County Schools as a paraprofessional for over 25 years and at Bob's Restaurant, Woodburn. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds, but especially loved her family. She loved reading to her grandchildren, taking them for wagon rides, and `playing Yahtzee, Trouble and Uno with them.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, N. Fred Nahrwold; sons, Christopher (Tatum) Nahrwold of New Castle, Jonathan (Erin) Nahrwold of Fishers, and Brent (Katie) Nahrwold of New Haven; sisters, Monica (Richard) Maye of Elida, OH, Jackie (Rick) Calvelage of Celina, OH, Diana (Bob) Lebamoff of New Haven; brothers, Joseph (Dorie) Bockey, Dennis Bockey, and Vernon (Lisa) Bockey all of Delphos, OH, and John (Missy) Bockey of Elida, OH; and grandchildren, Katelyn, Kara, and Lindsey Nahrwold all of Anderson, and Vincent and Philomena Nahrwold of New Haven. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tom, and Kenny Bockey; and sister, Joan Hurrell.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Gar Creek Church, 1910 N. Berthaud Rd, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Harper's Community Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
