Christine "Chris" C. Showman's Obituary
Christine "Chris" C. Showman, 71, of New Haven, formerly of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at home with her loving husband by her side. Born in Toledo, Ohio, she was very active in her church memberships through the years and was currently at New Haven United Methodist Church. She worked as a gift buyer for various retail stores prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jim; children, Kim (Keith) Eiden and Jeff (Tracy) Showman both of New Haven; father, Arthur Dyer of Clearwater, FL; mother-in-law, Ann Fincher of Toledo, OH; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, June Swy; and sons, Jimmy and Mike Showman.
Funeral service is 6 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Hwy E., New Haven with calling from 3:30 to 6 p.m. prior to service. Pastor Tom Thews officiating. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the St. Paul United Methodist Church, South Bend. Additional memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Nov. 6, 2011 at the Trinity United Methodist Church,2715 E. Jackson Blvd. Elkhart, IN, 46516.
