Charles "Chuck" Vaughn's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Elmer Vaughn, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Harlan, KY, he was the son of the late Paul and Dora (Osborn) Vaughn. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven. He was a service technician at Stucky Brothers Inc., Fort Wayne for 23 years. He previously worked at Zollner Pistons and Indiana Tech Research and Development. He was a proud member of the NRA. Chuck could fix anything and if he didn’t have the tool to work with, he would make it himself. He enjoyed sharing his talents and helping people in need. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah (Dettmer) Vaughn; son, Justin (Tara) Vaughn; siblings, Raymond Vaughn, and Lois Vaughn; granddaughters, Hanna and Madison Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his siblings, in 2021, Richard Vaughn, and Lucille Vaughn. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, New Haven with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harper’s Community Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial is in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to the Emanuel Lutheran’s Mission Group in Kenya.
