Catherine M. Gabet's Obituary
Catherine M. Gabet, 57, was carried in the arms of Jesus to be with the angels, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Covington Manor, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the second of nine children. Cathy was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Cathy loved holidays, babies, music, coffee, cameras, and Christmas. Margie was her angel on earth, always there to care for her and watch over her special needs. She always loved Sundays and loved coming home to be with mom, dad, and family.
She is survived by her mother, Irene Gabet; siblings, Greg (Molly) Gabet, Joseph (Ann) Gabet, Margaret Gabet, Francis (Maria) Gabet, Leisa (Rick) Fredbloom, Mary (Tom) Didier, Linda (Wade) Heddens, and Andrea (Darryl) Miracle; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her father, Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one hour prior. Father George Gabet, and Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
