Carolyn M. Roussey's Obituary
Carolyn M. Roussey, 71, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Parkview Hospital – Randallia, Fort Wayne. Born in Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Flora Sorg. She was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, New Haven, where she was a member of the Rosary Sodality and the church choir. She was also a member of the New Haven Harvest House, Country Neighbors, and the Red Hat Society. Carolyn had owned Quixote Hills Reception Hall for 25 years. Among her favorite things were spending time with her family and friends, and could often be found quilting, playing cards, traveling, and going to casinos.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Roussey of Ortonville, MI, Scott Roussey and Craig (Tessa) Roussey both of Monroeville, and Doug (Tina) Roussey and Cheryl Woenkhaus both of Fort Wayne; twin sister, Marilyn (James) Castleman of Monroeville; brother, Richard (Kathy) Sorg of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Amanda Leverton, Amy Preston, Ashlee and Nickolas Roussey, Taylor and Austin Roussey, Isabella, Gabriella, and Olivia Roussey; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Roussey in 2004; and sisters, Evelyn Minerd, Genevieve Foreman, and Rose Lothamer.
Prayer service is at 9:15 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy E, New Haven. Father Stephen Colchin officiating. Calling is 1 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the funeral home with a vigil service at 8:00 p.m. Burial is in the church cemetery. Memorials are to St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church Restoration Project, Breast Cancer Society, or Masses.
