Carol J. Vandermotten's Obituary
Carol J. Vandermotten, 78, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Georgia "Peggy" (Leslie) Yoquelet. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven and volunteered for the Rosary Society. She retired in 1983 from International Harvester after 30 years of service. She loved dominoes, playing euchre, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Roderick; children, Lowell Davis of Carmel and Shari (Kent) Hoffman of Sewall's Point, FL; brother, Dean (Darlene) Yoquelet of Frisco, TX; step-children, Ron (Lori) Vandermotten and Kathleen (Chester) Tulley both of New Haven, and Teresa (Kevin) Carr of Glasgow, Scotland; special "sister", Sharon (Phil) Howard of Fort Wayne; 13 step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Andrew Vandermotten.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with vigil at 3 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Masses or Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
