Carol Diane Irick's Obituary
Carol Diane Irick, 72, of New Haven, IN, daughter of beloved Ralph and Mary Martha Snyder, went peacefully to our Lord and her beloved husband of 45 years, William “Tom” Thomas IV, the 10th day of February 2017. Carol, also known as “mamma,” dearly loved her 5 children, 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She enjoyed home remodeling, gardening, camping, golfing, sewing, bingo, and traveling. With a strong Catholic faith, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in New Haven which she volunteered much of her time as a cheerleading coach, Boy Scout Leader, and at the school. Surviving are her children William “Bill” Irick V, Bridget (Byron) Lomow, Barbara (Steve) Wissman, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Larry) Johnson, & Andrew “Andy” (Kari) Irick.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven, with calling half hour prior to service. The Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery. Preferred memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Education Fund, Masses, or Visiting Nurse.
