Carl W. Voors' Obituary
Carl W. Voors, 93, of New Haven passed away on October 30, 2014. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the later William and Margaret (McGrath) Voors. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. The US Army veteran served his country in World
War II and was a member of American Legion Post 330 and Howard Bandelier Jr. VFW Post 2457. He retired in 1981 from General Electric after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Jean (Gran) Voors; children, Kevin (Elaine) Voors and Marian Lindsey both of Fort Wayne; sister, Dolores (John) Momper of New Haven; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Clem, Harold, and Lawrence Voors; and sisters, Mary Margaret Freiburger, Bernice Brandenburg, and Thelma Wolf.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven with calling one half hour prior. Father Bill Sullivan officiating. Calling is also 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m. Burial in the church cemetery with military honors. Preferred memorials are to the Masses.
