Calynn Susan Bassett's Obituary
Calynn (Wagner) Bassett, 59, Passed away Friday August 20, 2021, at her home after a two-year battle with cancer, with her family by her side.
She was born August 26, 1961, in Fort Wayne to William Wagner and the late Betty S. Wagner. She attended school at Saint Patrick’s and South Side High School. She moved to Woodburn after her marriage to James Scott Bassett. Her career that she loved was that of a professional waitress in the Fort Wayne, New Haven area. Working in some of the finest restaurants and grills in the area. Survivors include her husband James “Scott” Bassett; her son Ryan Bassett; and her stepdaughter Mia (Bassett) Jackson; father, William Wagner; sisters, Mary Wagner-Webb and Jantina Stephenson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty S. Wagner; siblings, William Wagner Jr, and Theresa Wagner.
A celebration of her life is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Phoenix Manor, 23005 Woodburn Rd., Woodburn, IN. In lieu of flowers or gifts she wishes that you have your colon tested.
